I loved At Home with Madam Chic so much and now I am working through the same author's delightful book for kids and their parents, called Connoisseur Kids.

I started with the chapter about being tidy, for these reasons:

One of the recommended activities was to take a "before" picture of their rooms and show them, then tell them after they clean their rooms, we'll take another picture to show the difference. They seemed to like that idea. Here's their after pictures.

During breakfast (when they are my captive audience) I read them a few pages from the tidiness chapter. I especially like this part about cleaning by category and having a place in mind for each category.

This book reminds me of self-esteem/etiquette book I read when I was a youth called Wonderful Me. For some reason, reading hygiene tips and activities in a book made them more credible to me. I'm really enjoying giving my kids a similar experience with this book.
